Hi, I'm Joan,
the Executive Director for Laketown Village.
Serving the seniors in the area where I grew up means a lot to me. Growing up in Louisiana can be a different experience than in other places.
Following Hurricane Ida, my family and I were displaced. We lost our roof and had to renovate our home. I took inspiration from the loss and decided to explore my passions. I began an interest in photography and documenting what can easily be lost.
My family and I are happily back in our home, and I also own a photography studio. I enjoy taking pictures of friends, family, and residents. Having hobbies and interests is something I encourage residents to pursue.
I began working in the community as a Sales Coordinator in 2013. I’ve gotten to know many wonderful residents, family members, and team members over the years. It’s always a pleasure introducing new residents to our community.
